ITEC and Hindi Language Scholarships

ITEC is basically a bilateral technical and economic assistance scheme, and involves short term training (five to twelve weeks) in Indian technical and professional institutions.

Five scholarships are offered by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India under this Scheme for the Slovak nationals for the civilian training programmes.

In civil training component, courses offered include: audit, administration, entrepreneurship, information technology, food processing, labour administration, manpower planning, management, parliamentary studies, small scale industries, small business development, crime records and finger printing technology, textile, remote sensing etc.

These programmes are open only for the nominees of the Government of the Slovak Republic. The employees and officials of the Government, Public Sector Enterprises, Universities and Chamber of Commerce and Industries etc. are eligible for nomination.

The entire cost of training under these schemes, including the return international airfare, tuition fees, accommodation, emergency medical treatment, stipend, book allowances and study tour, are borne by the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India in respect of the Slovak nominees.

8. Mr. Peter Szovics, Lecturer, Slovak University of Agriculture, Nitra, attended the "International Programme in Banking for Development" at the National Institute of Bank Management, Pune from 9.1.07 to 23.1.07

9. Mr. Miroslav Batka Lecturer, Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communication, University of Zilina attended the course "Essential Computer Skills for the e-World" conducted by the Computer Maintenance Corporation, New Delhi from 22.1.07 to 02.03.07.

10. & 11. Mr. Martin Vovk and Mr. Ivan Sos, Lecturers in the Faculty of National Economy, University of Economics, Bratislava attended the course "Web-site Design and Management" conducted by the Computer Maintenance Corporation, New Delhi from 22.1.07 to 02.03.07.

Ms Iveta Kovalcikova

12. Ms Iveta Kovalcikova, Vice Dean, International Relations, Faculty of Education, University of Presov attended the "Certificate Course in English Language, Soft Skills & Basic IT" conducted by the Tata Consultancy Services, New Delhi from 18.01.07 to 28.02.07.

Hindi Language Scholarships

100 Scholarships are offered globally to learn the Hindi language at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra (http://www.hindi.nic.in). The duration of this course is one year. The academic year for this course is from August to April.

Admission is given to the foreign students of the following categories:

  1. Candidate selected under the Propagation of Hindi Abroad Scheme (PHA Scheme) of the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India.
  2. Cultural Exchange Programme (CEP Scheme).
  3. Candidates deputed/sponsored by the Institutions/agencies/governments of different countries. Or
  4. Students seeking admission on self-financing basis. This course is available at the Delhi Centre of the Sansthan. It is a composite course with a separate syllabus. Those seeking admission to this course should write to the Delhi Centre:

Qualification:

B.A. or equivalent degree. (The qualifications can be relaxed in special circumstances particularly for the students coming in PHA/CEP Schemes.

Age limit:

The maximum age limit is 35 years. This condition does not apply to self-financed candidates.

Students admitted under the PHA scheme are paid scholarship and an economy class airfare. In addition, they are provided the book grant, medical facilities and are exempt from the payment of tution fees. Sansthan provides rent free accommodation and stay in Hostel is mandatory.
Note: The medium of instruction is English language for all the courses.
