India established formal diplomatic relations with the Slovak Republic in August 1995 with the opening of the Embassy in Bratislava. Our relations are warm and friendly. The volume of bilateral trade has been on the rise and reached 232.5 million in 2010. Indian cultural troupes have been visiting Slovakia regularly to share with the Slovak people our diverse artistic traditions. There is growing interaction among our peoples, both in business and tourism.
